I'd like to start by saying 'thank you' for visiting my page.

I've created this site as a way to express myself as an a professional artist and design enthusiast. After a lot of thought about how to define my style, I started to think about the art that seems to influence my creativity when free to draw and illustrate without a brief. I define it as urban art or street art.

According to the Urban Dictionary an Urbanist is someone who can't quite let go of inner city life...

My interests are all things related to living in the city - street art, ink art, sketch, skate, surfing, rugby, restaurants, bars, clubs, weekends, loud music - all things I enjoy while living in the suburb of Cammeray on Sydney's lower north shore, where I intend to raise my kids.

I've always felt a need to creatively express myself through my work. Until recently my medium has been food based - I have spent most of life as a Pastry Chef.

Pastry is a trade that requires work ethic, patience and meticulous attention to detail. These are personal attributes which I now take to animation, graphic art and digital design.

It is my ambition to work with other talented individuals either contributing to incredible design related projects or to create digital products and services for my own clients so that I can successfully design for a living.

Thanks

Jules

Introduction

An Urbanist is a former inner city inhabitant who aspires to live the life of suburbia, yet retains many of his or her original customs, manners and beliefs much to the chagrin of their established neighbours

My name is Julian Cooke and this is a pretty good definition of myself and my artistic style.
